Effective weight loss plans include a combination of diet and exercise. Your diet doesn't have to be planned out to the exact amount of calories you'll take in every day. The important thing is for you to focus on consistently eating healthy, nutrient rich food in appropriate serving sizes. The key to doing this as best as you possibly can is to keep junk food out of your house. When it's out of your site and not available to you when you're craving it, you won't be able to eat it. This will help you limit your unhealthy food consumption to just meals out, which is perfectly OK as long as it's only happening about once a week.
A well balanced diet will only get you so far on your weight loss journey. Diet needs to be combined with a healthy amount of exercise in order to be truly effective. If you think about it logically, in order to lose weight your body must be using more calories than it is taking in. The easiest way to assure this is happening is to boost your calorie usage every day! 30 - 60 minutes of cardio a day is the best way to get your body to burn off unwanted calories. Of course, you won't be able to start immediately doing an hour of cardio every day! Start out easy with 15 minutes the first week, 25 the next week, and so on until you reach a good amount for your lifestyle. Keep this going all 90 days with a minimal amount of days off (try for no more than 1 day off a week.)
With all this working out, it's extremely important to make sure you are drinking a healthy amount of water during your entire 90 day weight loss challenge. It may be a cliche, but 8 glasses of water a day is ideal for your body. Not only will this minimize your chance of health complications from working out, but it will help your system flush out toxins and has been proven to help you lose weight more quickly when combined with diet and exercise.
Our biggest piece of advice to you is to conquer this 90 day challenge with another person. It's easy to get lazy and lose motivation but with a friend helping you remember what's good to eat and when you're supposed to go to the gym, you'll have a much greater chance of being successful!
